What is Border Security Expo?


Border Security Expo is the premier event that attracts international and domestic government leaders and law enforcement officials charged with securing their borders and mitigating ever-changing threats. They come together for two information-packed days of education, idea exchange, networking, and access to cutting-edge solutions and products to help them conduct more efficient and effective security operations.

One of the highlights of Border Security Expo, the Sharpshooter Classic & Demo Day, takes place on day three of the event at the La Copa Ranch in Falfurrias, TX. This highly attended shooting competition simulates real-life scenarios that border agents and officers face in the field, and is included with your Border Security Expo registration.

The prominent keynotes and expert presenters, up-to-the-minute security topics, and state-of-the-art solutions and technologies draw international, federal, state, and local government officials from around the world, along with law enforcement, emergency management, and border security professionals from all sectors. What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations received in writing by March 1, 2022 will be refunded in full. Requests received between March 1-18, 2022 will be refunded minus a $75 administrative fee. After March 18, 2022, there are no refunds and registrants are obligated to pay 100% of the registration fee, regardless of attendance or payment status. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to


Are meals included in my conference registration?

Yes. Lunch will be offered on Tuesday, March 29 and Wednesday, March 30, for conference attendees. There will also be cocktails and hors d’oeuvres available during the Opening Night Reception on Tuesday in the exhibit hall.


I am traveling from outside the United States and need a letter of invitation. How do I get one?

To receive a letter of invitation, please complete the form at the bottom of the International Visitors page of the website. Your request will be reviewed and if accepted, you will receive your letter of invitation to the email address provided.

Can I share my badge with another attendee or exhibitor?

Attendees and exhibitors may NOT exchange, give, trade, or sell their Border Security Expo badge to anyone. Anyone found in violation of this policy will be immediately removed from the convention center and no refund for registration fees paid will be provided.


Are children allowed in the exhibit hall?

No one under the age of 18 will be admitted to the exhibit hall.


Is there an extra fee to attend Demo Day?

Admission to Demo Day is free for all Border Security Expo attendees and exhibitors. You must have a Border Security Expo 2022 badge for entry to the event. If you do not have a badge, you may register onsite (free for government; $100 for industry). A valid photo ID is required.


Do I need to register to attend the Sharpshooter Classic and Demo Day?

Yes, registration to Border Security Expo is required to participate in the Sharpshooter Classic and you must provide your own firearms and ammunition if you are competing. In addition, all participants in the Sharpshooter Classic competition must sign a waiver, which will be available onsite.


Do you offer discounted rooms for Border Security Expo participants?


Yes, room blocks with discounted rates will be available this fall.

What should I pack for the conference?


Attire for Border Security Expo is business casual. March temperatures in San Antonio average 74 degrees for a high and 50 degrees for a low, but the convention center can be chilly. Be sure to pack a jacket or light sweater and comfortable shoes for walking the Exhibit Hall. Demo Day is casual. Sunscreen and outdoor footwear is recommended. Water will be provided.

Are there networking events I can attend?

Yes, Border Security Expo is proud to partner with The Border Patrol Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides emergency financial assistance to the families of Border Patrol Agents killed in the line of duty. Border Patrol Foundation holds several events during the Expo to help support their mission and spur greater connection among border patrol professionals from across the country. Also, be sure to mark your calendar for the Border Security Expo Networking Reception, taking place Tuesday, March 29 from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm in the Exhibit Hall. This popular reception is open to all exhibitors and attendees!

How do I register my booth staff?

To register your booth personnel, exhibitors will need to log in to their Exhibitor Dashboard (coming soon). From there, click on the Registration tile to register your staff.
