What is Border Security Expo?

Border Security Expo (BSE) is the largest and longest-running event dedicated exclusively to border security. The Expo brings together federal, state, local and tribal government agencies alongside private-sector solution providers to exchange information, explore emerging technologies, and strengthen operational collaboration.
 

BSE focuses on real-world challenges, mission-driven dialogue, and direct access to the tools, technology, and partnerships shaping the future of border security.

 

Who attends Border Security Expo?

Border Security Expo attracts a highly targeted audience, including federal, state, local, tribal, and international government officials; law enforcement and border security professionals; military and emergency management leaders; and private-sector innovators.
 

Attendees range from senior decision-makers and policymakers to operational leaders in the field, creating a balanced environment for strategic dialogue and hands-on exploration.

The Phoenix Convention Center is located approximately four miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and is surrounded by thousands of hotel rooms within walking distance or accessible via the light rail system, which directly serves both the airport and convention center.

How much does it cost to attend Border Security Expo?

Border Security Expo offers full-conference and one-day registration options with different rates for government and non-government attendees.
 

Government, military, and approved law enforcement attendees qualify for complimentary registration. Industry and non-government attendees register at published rates.

What is included with my conference registration?

Full Conference Pass includes: 

  • Access to all general sessions and breakout sessions

I am traveling internationally and need a letter of invitation. How do I obtain one?

International attendees requiring a letter of invitation should complete the request form on the Why Attend page. Requests are reviewed individually. If approved, a letter of invitation will be sent via email.

 

Can I share my badge with another attendee or exhibitor?

No. Badges may not be exchanged, shared, sold, or transferred under any circumstances. Anyone found in violation of this policy will be removed from the convention center without refund.

 

Are children allowed in the Exhibit Hall?

No. Attendees under the age of 18 are not permitted in the Exhibit Hall.

 

Will there be an official mobile app for Border Security Expo 2026?

Yes. Border Security Expo 2026 will feature an official mobile app designed to support and enhance the onsite experience. Through the app, attendees will be able to view the conference agenda, build a personalized schedule, explore speaker and exhibitor profiles, receive important event updates, connect with other attendees, and send messages or request meetings and appointments directly within the platform.

 

The mobile app will serve as the primary source for program information, as there will not be a printed program guide for 2026. Registered attendees will receive an invitation to download the mobile app approximately 2 weeks before the event.

Are discounted hotel rooms available for Border Security Expo?

Yes. Border Security Expo has secured discounted room blocks at select hotels near the Phoenix Convention Center. Availability is limited and subject to change.

What should I wear to the conference?

Business casual attire is recommended.

Phoenix weather in May is typically warm during the day, but meeting rooms and exhibit halls can be cool. We recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater and wearing comfortable shoes suitable for walking the Exhibit Hall.

 

Are there networking events at Border Security Expo?

Yes. Networking is a core part of the Border Security Expo experience and includes:

  • Monday, May 4: Welcome Reception (5:00pm – 7:00pm, South Building Terrace)

  • Tuesday, May 5: National Border Security Awards presented by HSToday in the Exhibit Hall (4:00pm - 4:30pm)

  • Tuesday, May 5: Exhibit Hall Happy Hour (4:30pm – 5:30pm)

  • Additional networking opportunities may be announced closer to the event.

 

Does Border Security Expo support nonprofit organizations?

Border Security Expo supports organizations aligned with the border security community. Information about charitable partnerships and related activities will be shared on the website and onsite during the event.

 

EXHIBIT & SPONSOR

How do I register my booth staff?

Exhibitors can register booth staff through the Exhibitor Resource Center. Exhibitor fulfillment contacts submitted with your 2026 BSE Contract each receive their own unique and personalized access link (no password required) after the contract has been accepted and countersigned by the BSE team. If you need that link re-sent to you, contact operations@bordersecurityevents.com or sales@bordersecurityevents.com

How can my company become a sponsor?

Sponsorship opportunities provide enhanced visibility, thought leadership positioning, and access to exclusive engagement opportunities.
