Justify Your Attendance

Need approval to attend Border Security Expo? We've got you covered!

We know it is mission critical for staff to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques, tools, and technologies available to do their jobs more effectively and efficiently, and to gain this information in a cost-effective manner. We also know conferences & expos are an excellent opportunity to do just that; however, getting approval to attend can sometimes be a challenge.
Make a strong case with leadership for attending Border Security Expo 2026 by explaining the return your agency would gain from investing in your attendance. One of the best ways to convey the value that can be gleaned from a conference is to connect your agency's mission and goals to the opportunities offered.

Here are some tips to help you get approval:

  • Analyze the conference agenda to see how it can address your agency’s current challenges and goals

  • Review the list of exhibitors to see which companies may have the best solutions for your agency's specific needs

  • Present a cost estimate, which includes your registration fee and other expenses

  • Get your supervisor involved by asking their recommendation on breakout sessions or networking events for you to attend

Here you’ll find a sample letter that you can customize and submit to your supervisor.
