Matthew Hudak is a nationally recognized executive and consultant with more than 26 years of distinguished service in federal law enforcement, with executive focus on leadership and operations. As the former Deputy Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of an organization that included 20,000 agents, 2,000 professional staff, and a budget of more than $8.3B, directing operations across all 50 states and U.S. territories. His leadership was pivotal in managing complex national security challenges, integrating advanced technology systems, and building coalitions across government, industry, and international partners. 

Today, as CEO and Co-Owner of MH Secure Strategies LLC, Matthew provides strategic consulting to corporate and federal clients in areas including border security, technology integration, and executive leadership development. He is a trusted subject matter expert for national media outlets, offering insight on immigration enforcement and federal law enforcement operations. His career highlights include leading multi-agency task forces against transnational criminal organizations, modernizing Border Patrol’s IT infrastructure, leading a national task force focusing the U.S. Government’s efforts at the southern border, and receiving the CBP Commissioner’s Award for innovation in intelligence analysis and the DHS Meritorious Service Medal. 

Matthew holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminal Justice from Central Connecticut State University. He is certified by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management as a Senior Executive Service leader and maintains a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance. Fully functional in Spanish, he is an active member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the U.S. Border Patrol Museum, and continues to serve as a sworn Pace Officer in the State of Texas.
