What is Border Security Expo?

Border Security Expo is the premier event that attracts international and domestic government leaders and law enforcement officials charged with securing their borders and mitigating ever-changing threats. They come together for two information-packed days of education, idea exchange, networking, and access to cutting-edge solutions and products to help them conduct more efficient and effective security operations.

One of the highlights of Border Security Expo, the 5th Annual Sharpshooter Classic & Demo Day, takes place on day three of the event at the Bandera Gun Club in San Antonio. This highly attended shooting competition simulates real-life scenarios that border agents and officers face in the field, and is included with your Border Security Expo registration.

Who Attends?

The prominent keynotes and expert presenters, up-to-the-minute security topics, and state-of-the-art solutions and technologies draw international, federal, state, and local government officials from around the world, along with law enforcement, emergency management, and border security professionals from all sectors. What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations received in writing by February 12, 2020, will be refunded in full. Requests received between February 12, 2020, and February 19, 2020, will be refunded minus a $75 administrative fee. After February 19, 2020, there are no refunds and registrants are obligated to pay 100% of the registration fee, regardless of attendance or payment status. Cancellation requests should be submitted to Registration2020@AnIdealPartner.com.

Are meals included in my conference registration?

Yes. Lunch will be offered on Wednesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 12 for conference attendees. There will also be cocktails and hors d’oeuvres available during the Opening Night reception on Wednesday in the exhibit hall.

I am traveling from outside the United States and need a letter of invitation. How do I get one?

To receive a letter of invitation, please complete the form at the bottom of the International Visitors page of the website. Your request will be reviewed and if accepted, you will receive your letter of invitation to the email address provided.

Can I share my badge with another attendee or exhibitor?

Attendees and exhibitors may NOT exchange, give, trade, or sell their Border Security Expo badge to anyone. Anyone found in violation of this policy will be immediately removed from the convention center and no refund for registration fees paid will be provided.

Are children allowed in the exhibit hall?

No one under the age of 18 will be admitted to the exhibit hall.

Is there an extra fee to attend Demo Day?

Admission to Demo Day is free for all Border Security Expo attendees and exhibitors. You must have a Border Security Expo 2020 badge for entry to the event. If you do not have a badge, you may register onsite (free for government; $100 for industry). A valid photo ID is required.

Do I need to register to attend the Sharpshooter Classic and Demo Day?

Yes, registration to Border Security Expo is required to participate in the Sharpshooter Classic and you must provide your own firearms and ammunition if you are competing. In addition, all participants in the Sharpshooter Classic competition must sign a waiver, which will be available onsite.

What should I pack for the conference?

Attire for Border Security Expo is business casual. March temperatures in San Antonio average 74 degrees for a high and 50 degrees for a low. Be sure to pack a jacket or light sweater and comfortable shoes for walking the Expo Hall. Demo Day is casual and outdoor footwear is recommended.

Are there networking events I can attend?

Yes, Border Security Expo is proud to partner with The Border Patrol Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides emergency financial assistance to the families of Border Patrol Agents killed in the line of duty. Border Patrol Foundation holds several events during the Expo to help support their mission and spur greater connection among border patrol professionals from across the country. In addition to the Sharpshooter Classic & Demo Day, these events include:

I have concerns about the latest outbreak of coronavirus in China. Where can I find more information?

Border Security Expo will take place March 11-12 as scheduled. Ensuring the safety of all exhibitors and attendees to our events is our top priority and Show Management will continue to monitor the coronavirus/COVID-19 situation closely. We will keep all participants fully informed of any developments. Meanwhile, we strongly recommend you follow your own country’s advice on travel before starting your journey to San Antonio.

How can I reserve a booth?

To reserve a booth, browse the current floor plan to select a space that’s right for your needs and goals. Once you’ve selected a booth, complete the online exhibit space application. How do I register my booth staff?

To register your booth personnel, exhibitors will need to log in to their Exhibitor Dashboard. From there, click on the Registration tile to register your staff.
