What is Border Security Expo?

Border Security Expo is the premier event that attracts 1,000+ international and domestic government leaders and law enforcement officials charged with securing their borders and mitigating ever-changing threats. They come together for two information-packed days of education, idea exchange, networking, and access to cutting-edge solutions and products to help them conduct more efficient and effective security operations.

One of the highlights of Border Security Expo, Sharpshooter Classic & Demo Day, takes place on day three of the event at the Bandera Gun Club in San Antonio. This highly attended shooting competition simulates real-life scenarios that border agents and officers face in the field.

Who Attends?

The prominent keynotes and expert presenters, up-to-the-minute security topics, and state-of-the-art solutions and technologies draw international, federal, state, and local government officials along with law enforcement, emergency management, and border security professionals from all sectors. Whether you’re a government policymaker or an officer in the field, you’ll find a wide spectrum of education, networking events, and solutions to support your evolving mission.

*Indicates Early Bird Rates which end February 14, 2020. After February 14, Conference rates increase to $124 for Government and $1,395 for Non-Government/Industry.

Conference Pass: Includes access to all education sessions, keynotes, luncheons, networking reception, Honoring the Memory Ceremony, the exhibit hall (two days), and Demo Day.

Expo Pass: Includes access to the exhibit hall (two days), networking reception, Honoring the Memory Ceremony, the exhibit hall (two days), and Demo Day.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations received in writing by February 12, 2020, will be refunded in full. Requests received between February 12, 2020, and February 19, 2020, will be refunded minus a $75 administrative fee.

After February 19, 2020, there are no refunds and registrants are obligated to pay 100% of the registration fee, regardless of attendance or payment status. Cancellation requests should be submitted to Registration2020@AnIdealPartner.com.

Are meals included in my conference registration?

Yes. Breakfast and lunch will be offered on Wednesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 12. There will also be cocktails and hors d’oeuvres available during the Opening Night reception on Wednesday in the exhibit hall.

I am traveling from outside the United States and need a letter of invitation. How do I get one?

To receive a letter of invitation, please complete the form at the bottom of the International Visitors page of the website. Your request will be reviewed and if accepted, you will receive your letter of invitation to the email address provided.

Can I share my badge with another attendee or exhibitor?

Attendees and exhibitors may NOT exchange, give, trade, or sell their Border Security Expo badge to anyone. Anyone found in violation of this policy will be immediately removed from the convention center and no refund for registration fees paid will be provided.

Are children allowed in the exhibit hall?

No one under the age of 18 will be admitted to the exhibit hall.

Is there an extra fee to attend Demo Day?

Admission to Demo Day is free for all Border Security Expo attendees and exhibitors. You must have a Border Security Expo 2020 badge for entry to the event. If you do not have a badge, you may register onsite (free for government; $100 for industry). A valid photo ID is required.

Do I need to register to attend the Sharpshooter Classic and Demo Day?

Yes, separate registration is required to participate in the Sharpshooter Classic and you must provide your own firearms and ammunition if you are competing. In addition, all participants in the Sharpshooter Classic competition must sign a waiver, which will be available onsite.

Do you offer discounted rooms for Border Security Expo participants?

What should I pack for the conference?

Attire for Border Security Expo is business casual. March temperatures in San Antonio average 74 degrees for a high and 50 degrees for a low. Be sure to pack a jacket or light sweater and comfortable shoes for walking the Expo Hall. Demo Day is casual and outdoor footwear is recommended.

Are there networking events I can attend?

Yes, Border Security Expo is proud to partner with The Border Patrol Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides emergency financial assistance to the families of Border Patrol Agents killed in the line of duty. Border Patrol Foundation holds several events during the Expo to help support their mission and spur greater connection among border patrol professionals from across the country. In addition to the Sharpshooter Classic & Demo Day, these events include:

How can I reserve a booth?

To reserve a booth, browse the current floor plan (coming soon) to select a space that’s right for your needs and goals. Once you’ve selected a booth, complete the online exhibit space application. How do I register my booth staff?

Exhibitors will need to log in to their Exhibitor Dashboard (coming soon!). From there, click on the Exhibitor Registration icon to register your staff.

The 5th Annual Sharpshooter Classic and Demo Day The 5th Annual Sharpshooter Classic, presented by Border Patrol Foundation pits border agents and officers in friendly competition, displaying their shooting skills in real-life scenarios that they’ll encounter out in the field. This competition will test the skills of the most experienced law enforcement personnel to earn bragging rights for their sectors, stations, units, or departments!

Elevate your brand and put your solutions directly in the hands of the professionals who’ll be using them out in the field during this unique event. All Demo Day exhibitors and sponsors receive a slot in the shooting competition.

A complimentary lunch will be provided and water will be available throughout the day. Transportation to and from the Bandera Gun Club will be provided.
