Biometrics has changed the way processing is done for border security. From the use of fingerprints to verify apprehensions against IDENT and CJIS to the latest use of facial recognition to process travelers through the ports, biometrics have improved identification and expedited the flow. The panel will explore current uses of biometrics, challenges, and what is in store for the future. How are biometrics changing the workflow? What collaboration is occurring with industry and the private sector (air, rail, cruise lines, etc.)?
